Report on the "Museum for change" grant from the ALIPH Foundation

In connection with the military invasion of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine and the almost 40-day siege of Chernigov in February-March 2022 year, the need for reliable preservation of museum objects, arrangement of additional storage facilities for this purpose, carrying out repair works of the museum premises, who suffered as a result of shelling and bombing by Russian troops Chernihiv Historical Museum named after. V. V. Tarnovskyi in May 2022 Dr.. submitted several grant applications to international organizations in order to receive assistance.
So, 15 May 2022 Dr.. the museum turned to the ALIPH Foundation ((https://www.facebook.com/ALIPHFoundation/)
with the relevant application "Museum for change" within the framework of the program "Protection of cultural heritage of Ukraine and support of professionals in the field of cultural heritage", which was considered and supported. ALIPH Foundation approved and provided 6340 euros to help the Museum. In accordance, the financial budget of the project was developed and approved within the framework of grant funds. The implementation of which lasted from 25 May to 9 August 2022 Dr.. During this time, the necessary materials and equipment were purchased for equipping the museum's storage facilities, packaging of museum objects, carrying out repair work, preservation of scientific work of museum workers.
We managed to equip three new fund warehouses, in which archeological collections and partially metal and glass collections are kept, as well as a collection of various devices and equipment. Thus, archaeological materials were saved from destruction.
Financial support and control was carried out by a public organization Museum for Change MUSEUM FOR CHANGE (Odessa).
