Chernihiv Historical Museum of VV. Tarnowski took part in the preparation of the international exhibition project "Russia - the Vikings in the East". The exhibition is organized by the Moasgard Museum (Kingdom of Denmark).
Selected for exhibition 148 objects of the X century from the excavations of the burial mound near the village of Shestovytsia. The main part is the finds from the unique burial of a warrior with a horse in a cell: меч; scramasax combat knife; tip and 11 silver plate wrapping spear shaft; silver top of the hat, decorated with grain; openwork woven from a silver wire buttons; turkey horn with silver casing and horse harness details, decorated with lots of silver overlays and pendants. All selected items were successfully delivered to the Moasgard Museum and handed over to Danish colleagues.
The opening of the exhibition is scheduled for 19 January 2022 year.
